Year 4 Day 1- Post Lunch

by admin on August 17th, 2006

Well lunch this year was NOT the chinese food buffet it has been the previous 9 years. It was an italian spread, and not too bad if I do say so myself.

We discussed, as you can imagine, salaries. It was fun to look at the salary schedule from other districts nearby. If I were 60 miles south, I’d make $1500 more a month…that was the best…at worst it’d be about $500 more, but closer to $850 when you added in the better benefits packages. That’d be nice. I think people FINALLY get the idea that we’re being pulled around. SO tomorrow, we’ve decided to all wear black, and not applaud our superintendent. Well, maybe his son will applaud him. He teahes in the district. I would pay money to see just his son clapping for his dad, and yell out, “Love you, DAD!”

Oh well, I’m not sure why anyone even lets the kid stay in our meetings, becuase our honcho will KNOW already we’re not clapping for him tomorrow.

I thought we should have gone the ‘Mystery Alaska’ approach, and just held up newspapers the minute he walked up, pretending not to be the slightest bit interested in him.

knowing what I know about the superintendent, he’d blow up.

oh well…black shirt it is for tomorrow.
