Year 4 Day 1- Back in the saddle, ah forget saddles, let’s ride bareback this year

by admin on August 17th, 2006

The Indians rode without saddles, because well they had skills, so this year, I’m taking my skills…and saying F- the saddle.

I’m back, and some of the issues that plagued my computer seem resolved. about 4 gigs worth of my music has gone missing, which I kind of assumed would happen. I backed itall up before last year, so I’ll be putting it all back tomorrow…plus more.

We had our first faculty meeting. It was fairly short. We have been given a $300 budget this year per teacher, out of which we need to buy things like paper, and pencils…I go through a box of pencils per week easy…sometimes more. I should use that up in no time.

It’s a good thing I budgeted well on most art supplies for last year.

I haven’t heard yet about the home school being taken away…so that’s somewhat promising.

As is custom for my first day back, I’m going to lay it out for you; everything I’m going to do this year. How it’s gonna be.

1) Screw the other schools. I didn’t even get an interview for the job I applied for. I’m telling myself it’s because I moved, and my forwarding information wasn’t availalbe, but wo cares WHY really.
I’m taking it out on them this year…just like I did with the other school last year…and oh yeah, the other school is not off the hook either. I’m declaring war them still too. You’ve been warned.

2) I’m winning that M.F’n teacher of the year award this year, everyone else be damned. If it means I have to go above and beyond, and ho myself out to the teaching powers, then so be it. I’m riding bareback this year, so all skills will be on display.

3) I’m not going to let as much get to me this year, personal life or anywhere. I’m going to’ roll with the punches’ as they say.

This year is going to be the stuff legends are made of. Good legends. I can feel it.
