Daily School Journal Day 150- 1,2,3,4 I hate this stupid penny war

by admin on April 29th, 2004

The penny war is on.

For those of you who don’t know what a penny war is, it’s a competition to see who can get the most pennies.

The sides get +1 for every penny, and n points for however much silver change they put in. A quarter is worth n25, a dime worth -10, etc.. Whoever has the highest score at the end, wins.

It’s lame.

I didn’t want to do it, but I agreed, only because certain teachers here take if too seriously, and I want to beat them.

Let’s get one thing straight… it’s war. They called it penny iwari, not penny icompetition.i

I always thought all was fair in love and war.

I hide my war chest, so nobody can put silver change in it.

“it’s not fair” one teacher said, who also happens to have a huge suitcase.

I’m being accused of cheating.

How does one icheati at war?

Some teacher made me a inewi jar so they could pile it full of dollars, and silver change… fine. It’s not my jar. When the original sheet came out, there was no rule about hiding the jar. There rules change when the weaker competitors start to lose.

Whine whine whine.

I keep my jar out of lock and key during the period of the day where the competition is going on. I don’t keep it in sight, but it’s available for putting change in if you can find it.

I’m about to goto the faculty room and curse some people out if they try and get stupid.

update to follow.
